Friday ~ Lauryn and I picked mom up from work, dropped her off at her apartment, then went to the store to pick up a few groceries.  Mom came over a little bit later and had dinner with us.  We had bourbon glazed ham steak and baked potatoes on the grill.  Kathye came over for a short visit and then Lloyd and I hung out in the evening.

Saturday ~ Lloyd’s dad’s birthday is next weekend but his parents will be gone camping so we had them and his brother over to celebrate it early.  We had a nice visit, his aunt and uncle also stopped by for a little while and Kathye came over too.  We had burgers and New York strip steak on the grill, loaded baked potato salad, country style beans and the frozen strawberry dessert (see recipes).  Lloyd, his dad and his brother played a ton of horseshoes.  We visited with our neighbors for a little while before going in and getting Lauryn ready for bed.  The rest of the night was spent vegging out.

Sunday ~ We were all a little tired from the day before so we relaxed most of the day.  I ran to the store in the early evening and we had leftovers from Saturday for dinner.

Friday~Mom came over for a visit and dinner.  Kathye also came over for a little bit and I helped her order boots online.  We had bacon cheeseburgers, macaroni and egg salad and beans for dinner.

Saturday~Did a little light cleaning in the morning, then in the afternoon mom and I went shopping and got some dinner.  It was a really nice afternoon out of the house.  I got a few shirts for me, a few outfits for Lauryn, four movies and a few other odds and ends.

Sunday~We had breakfast, I cleaned the kitchen and then we got around and went over to our friends house for a volleyball tournament.  I don’t play but Lloyd does and he had a lot of fun.  I visited and played with Lauryn.  After a few hours, Lauryn and I came back home so Icould get her dinner and give her a bath.  Lloyd stayed and played a couple more games.  I could decide what to make for dinner so I ordered in.  Lloyd got home a little before the food came and after dinner we relaxed and watched a little t.v.

Friday~Mom came over for dinner and a visit.  We had roast and veggies in the crock pot, ciabatta bread and cheese for dinner.  We visited and played with Lauryn

Saturday~Did a little cleaning in the morning.  Aunt Dereka came over for a visit in the afternoon.  We had a really nice time talking and catching up and then I ran to Wal-Mart to get my pupillary distance measured at the vision center.  I also picked up some more stickers for Lauryn’s baby scrapbook.  When I got home, I made enchillada’s and guacamole for dinner…YUM!  Then we relaxed in the evening.

Sunday~I woke up not feeling well at all.  I spent most of the morning and afternoon on the couch   Later, when I felt better, we went outside and played in the yard with Lauryn while dinner was on the grill.  We had Bayou Bourbon glazed ham, baked potatoes, ciabatta bread and salad.  We munched on s’mores in the evening

Friday ~ Spent the morning and early afternoon cleaning.  Mom came over for dinner and a visit.  We had Caribbean jerk marinated chicken breast and corn on the cob on the grill and mom brought a yummy bacon/ranch salad.  Strawberry shortcake for dessert   Lloyd went to my brother’s to play washers and hang out for a bit and ended up getting burned while trying to help start the bonfire.  Word to the wise, if you use gasoline on your fire, make sure everyone knows or don’t try to start someone else’s fire!

Saturday ~ Shopping plans fell through so we had a lazy day around the house.  Ordered Chinese for dinner, Lauryn’s idea , then went shopping by myself in the evening.  I got a few shirts, a new hair brush and some hair dye.  While I was out, I talked to a salesman about POS systems, something I think may come in handy in the future.

Sunday ~ We had the Malek family reunion in Sumner yesterday.  The park was really nice!  There was great food, as always, and Lauryn really loved running around the playground and playing with her cousins.  Lloyd’s cousin surprised everyone by having an ice cream truck come.  Free ice cream for everyone!  It was a really great surprise!  After we got back home, I cleaned up a few things, got Lauryn ready for bed and then Lloyd and I vegged out until bed time

Friday~We had to take our truck to a relative of Lloyd’s to get it fixed.  We’re not sure exactly what the problem is but hopefully will know soon.  Mom watched Lauryn for us while we were gone.  Then on on the way home, we picked up subs from Subway, compliments of mom and visited for a while after dinner.

Saturday~ Lloyd and I had a date night!  We went to Applebee’s for dinner, then to Corey’s for a drink, then bowling, then to the Driftway where we played pool, danced, met some new friends and ran into some old ones.  We ended up closing the bar   I tried going to bed around 3 am and Lauryn woke up just a few minutes later and she and I ended up staying up until 6 am

Sunday~LAZY day!  Lloyd was in recovery and I was just plain tired!  We literally did nothing all day   I even grabbed some burgers for dinner because I did not feel like cooking!  We just can’t hang anymore

Friday~Lloyd took the day off and we went to the John Ball Park zoo.  We had such a nice day!  I think Lloyd and I actually were more into it than Lauryn was but she did have fun too   After the zoo, we went to our old house to see the renter, who I finally got to meet, and saw Wayne while we were there.  I so miss having him as a neighbor!  We stopped at Lowe’s on the way home so Lloyd could get more sand for his horseshoe pits and a fire pit which Lloyd surprised me with later and then headed home.  Mom came over for dinner and Kathye stopped by and ate with us.  After Lauryn went to bed, mom and I went to Greenville for some late night shopping.  I got a new pair of shoes, socks,a scrap booking kit, fireworks and some other odds and ends. We were looking for cotton balls and ended up in front of hemorrhoids treatments.  That gave us a few giggles!  You had to be there

Saturday~We spent the day around the house, cleaning and doing yard work.  We went and got groceries, grilled dinner and in the evening we had a fire in the new fire pit that Lloyd surprised me with.  He picked it up the day before and didn’t tell me   We were going to roast marshmallows but were way to full from dinner

Sunday~A little more light cleaning and then mom came over for dinner.  I made chicken breasts and corn on the cob on the grill and macaroni salad.  Mom brought a yummy snicker-apple dessert.  We visited outside for a while and waited for it to get dark enough to do some fireworks.  Lauryn got to stay up quite a bit later than usual to watch them and I think that played a part in her not liking them quite as much as I thought she would.  She got a little pouty and fussy on the high pitched ones but thankfully there were only a couple of those!  She went to bed as soon as we were done and Lloyd and I spent the evening hanging out and trying to stay cool!  I was very happy that Lloyd decided to stay home Monday too!  He almost never takes days off and we actually got a four day weekend together!  So nice!

Friday~Cleaned house, my stopped over but was unable to stay for dinner because she had to work on Saturday, Kathye visited, weeded the garden, had dinner and relaxed with Lloyd and Lauryn.  I spent a little time in the evening looking up different crafty ways to make birth announcements.  I’m crafty in the crochet and jewelry making sense but when ever I see homemade cards and announcements, I don’t feel creative enough to make them look as good as other people do.  I guess I’d just have to start practicing

Saturday~Lauryn stayed home with Lloyd so I could do a little shopping.  I picked up a few things for Sunday’s dinner and Lloyd’s Father’s day gift   Weeded the flowers and swept the patio, then got some of the food ready for Sunday.

Sunday~Happy Father’s Day, Lloyd!  Lauryn got her daddy a garden dump wagon and a horseshoe pick up hook   He was very pleased about them both   We got ready, I finished preparing a few more things for dinner while Lloyd put his new “toy” together and then his parents and brother came over.  We had a very nice visit.  Lloyd and his brother played tons of horseshoes and dinner and dessert was very yummy…if I say so myself   After they left, we spent the evening relaxing and playing with Lauryn.

I completely forgot to do this yesterday but better late that never, right?

Friday~Spent a little time cleaning in the morning and afternoon.  Mom came over and we celebrated her birthday   We ordered Chinese for dinner and had ice cream cones for dessert.

Saturday~HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!! I don’t think we did too much of anything Saturday as it’s only Tuesday and I can’t remember what we did   I grilled some good food and we hung out in the yard.  I think we might have went for a walk in the evening too   I also picked some herbs from my garden and started to dry them.

Sunday~I went to the store to pick up some yarn.  I’m starting a baby blanket for my brother and sister-in-law’s baby GIRL.  She’s due in early November so I have plenty of time to work on it.  I can’t wait to meet her   Other than that, we had a pretty uneventful day and we LOVED it

Friday~It was a pretty uneventful day.  Did a little cleaning, ran to the store, mom came over to visit and we had spaghetti and croissants for dinner.

Saturday~We got up early and headed to the new rental to clean and fix a few small things.  We spent most of the day there and Lauryn behaved really well!  I got to meet the renters and they were really nice.  On the way home, we ordered Chinese.  Lauryn really loves crab rangoons   After dinner, I cleaned up the kitchen and Kathye came over to visit.

Sunday~Lloyd made breakfast and cleaned up the kitchen.  I went to see Sex and the City 2 with Aunt Dereka and we both really liked it.  When I got home, Lauryn was taking a nap and I decided to take one too   When I got up, I grilled some hot dogs for them and a chicken breast for me for dinner.  I had to run to the store and when I got back, Lloyd had cleaned the kitchen again!  I can’t think of the last time I had a whole day without doing any dishes!  The rest of the evening was spent playing with Lauryn and hanging out.

Friday~ Most of the day was uneventful.  Mostly catching up some cleaning until my mom came over.  We visited, talked about hgh supplements among other things and had dinner – grilled chicken breasts, pasta salad and corn on the cob.  After mom left and Lauryn was in bed, Lloyd and I enjoyed a nice evening on the patio.  We had the tiki torches burning with citronella fuel to keep the mosquito’s away, had some soft music playing, enjoyed a few drinks and talked for a few hours.  It was really nice!  We don’t get to do that much anymore.

Saturday~Lloyd got up early and headed to Hubbardston so he get in the horseshoe tournaments.  Lauryn and I got ready, stopped to get gas, grabbed a few things at the dollar store and headed there to meet him.  We mostly watched and visited with the family while Lloyd, his brother and his uncles played.  After a couple of hours, his mom, aunts, Lauryn and I headed back to his parents house to get dinner started.  After another couple of hours we went back to get the guys.  We had dinner and then came home.

Sunday~After getting so much sun on Saturday, Lloyd and I were both a little tired.  We relaxed most of the day.  Lloyd made a great breakfast and we got Lauryn’s pool filled so she could play in it.  (I’ll add pics later )  I grilled some burgers and corn and we finished the pasta salad from Friday.  The evening was spent watching Lauryn in her pool, watering the garden and flowers and watching a little t.v.

Monday~We got up after having been awaken by some loud thunder, got around and headed to Lloyd’s parents house.  We were only there a few minutes before it was time to head over to the cemetery for Memorial Day services.  I was so proud of Lauryn for not getting upset by the 21 gun salute.  We went back to his parents house where I tried unsuccessfully to get Lauryn to eat some lunch.  There was just too much going on for her.  Then we went to downtown to watch the parade.  A lot of Lloyd’s uncles and his dad have classic cars and they always go through the parade.  Again, I was pretty proud of Lauryn for dealing with all of the loud noises from the firetrucks so well.  We stayed for a couple of hours and listened to the karaoke singers before we headed home.  We left just in time because by the time we got back to the truck, the rain was coming down pretty hard.  We ordered in some food, visited with Kathye for a little while and relaxed for the rest of the night.
