We lost power first thing this morning.  It was kind of strange because it wasn’t storming or anything.  I thought it was going to make for a not so great day because no power equals no coffee maker….AAAAAHHHH!  How on earth am I supposed to function without coffee??  We don’t have any instant coffee because I used that up a while ago making homemade kahlua   Thankfully, it was only out for about 45 minutes or so.

It’s funny  how the little things make you happy.  Last night, after Lauryn went to sleep, I gave myself a pedicure.  Every time I look down at my feet it makes me smile because my toes look nice

I think I’m going to throw some steaks, potatoes, corn on the cob and ciabatta bread on the grill tonight.  In my opinion that’s the perfect meal because the only dishes afterward are plates and silverware, no pots and pans   Gotta love that!

After a pretty long night with my teething baby girl, this morning we both got to take a good nap.  She had a much better day today, which means her mama had a much better day

Ran a few errands with my mom and then did a TON of grocery shopping.  We are stocked up for a while!  I so love to see my fridge, freezer and cupboards nice and full!  There was some creepy guy at the store though.  Long story, but half the time I was there, he was totally creeping me out!

When we got back, we gave Lauryn her dinner then we had some roast, potatoes and carrots that had been in my crock pot for about 10 hours.  It was so good and so tender!  I think I’m going to use the leftovers to make shredded beef tacos for dinner tomorrow.  Just can’t get enough tacos!  Mom visited for a few hours after dinner and then once Lauryn was in bed, which she did not put up a fight about , Lloyd and I actually had some time to just sit and talk like we used to do.  It was nice!

Today is a little bit better than yesterday was.  I’m feeling better about things now and I hope everything will start getting on a better track.

Grilling again today.  We’re having steaks, potatoes and salads for dinner.  It’s a beautiful day for grilling!

Lauryn is so close to crawling now.  She tried so hard this afternoon and it was the closest she’s ever come to actually doing it!  She’s getting to be such a big girl!

It’s so nice out today!  I love it when it’s sunny but not too hot!

Lloyd and I weeded the garden last night.  It looks so much better!  I love to see the tomatoes starting to grow!  Next year I want to expand it and try some fruit too!

Mom isn’t coming over tonight.  She has to be at work tomorrow at 4 am so I took her to run errands and then dropped her off back home.  Lloyd just sent me a text saying he was on his way home which makes me very happy because we thought he was going to have late appointments tonight.  We’re having burgers and potatoes on the grill and salads for dinner.  I think we don’t have any big plans this weekend so it will be nice to spend some time together!
