Tomorrow marks the 10 year anniversary of Lloyd and I officially becoming a couple   I don’t think we’re going to do anything to celebrate but I might have to look at some mens ties as a gift because with the colder weather coming, he wears shirts and ties more and his ties are pretty old.  Sounds a little cliched right?  Getting him ties for an anniversary   Oh well, it’s something he needs.

I’ve been working on some crafty projects lately and I can’t wait to show them off here.  Unfortunately I can’t now because they are all for someone and since I’m not sure if she reads my blog or not, I don’t want to chance it that she’ll see them before she’s supposed to!  I am pretty proud of them though

It’s Wednesday but after having such a long weekend, it feels like it should be Friday already!  I have no big plans for today.  Just a little house cleaning, some crocheting and maybe working a little more on the zoo scrapbook I started for Lauryn.  Other than that, it’s going to be a very uneventful day!

Tomorrow night, mom and I are going to head to Greenville for a little shopping.  I still have to make a list of things I need to get.  Mom mentioned looking at things that might be comparable to prototype 37c.  I’m sure there’s something that we’ll be able to find.

About the scrapbook I started last night, I think I might be getting into it more that I thought I would.  I had only decided to try it because I wanted to make something special for Lauryn using the pictures we took from her first trip to the zoo.  It’s a lot more fun than I thought it would be and I’m already thinking about the millions of other pictures we have around here and what I can do with them

Recently, my aunt asked me if I could make her a case for her sunglasses.  She said to match her purse and wallet, different shades of pink and magenta would work.  She seemed to really like the finished product.  Here it is:

I’ve been getting back into crocheting again.  I go through phases with it.  For months, I’ll go non-stop, making blankets, hats, all kinds of things.  Then I’ll need a break for a month or so.  I’m back on again   I just finished a sunglasses case for my aunt, which I completely forgot to take a picture of, and now I’m starting on a blanket.  I’ve also been thinking about getting back into jewelry.  It’s been quite a while since I’ve made any and Kathye was here recently talking about how we should make some together and I think that was enough to me wanting to do that again   I’ve been thinking about trying to sell my crafts again.  I’ve tried selling online before, on one of the more popular selling sites, and didn’t have a lot of luck because people want to pay pennies for homemade things and I cannot put that many hours into something, like a blanket, and sell if for that cheap.  Maybe I should give craft shows a whirl.  There, people know the time it takes to make some things and expect to pay a reasonable price.  The last one I went to, there was a woman who’d made it quite the business for herself.  She even had a epson receipt printer to give people receipts for their purchases.  I was pretty impressed with her and would love if I could make some decent money selling my items.

I have a ton of scrap yarn and have been meaning to get it used up.  I used to think about making a big granny square blanket with it.  I really like making granny squares but honestly, I have zero desire to put them all together   So, I started making slipper socks.  This was my first pair:

They are really warm and comfy!  I’m almost finished with a pair for Lloyd and my mom has some yarn she wants me to use to make her some.  They are really nice to do because they work up so fast and it’s great using up all of that scrap yarn
