Friday ~ Mom came over for a visit and dinner and we had enchilada’s and guacamole

Saturday ~ My uncle Mike and my mom came over for dinner.  We had hot dog, hamburgers, loaded baked potato salad and a few other yummy things.  My uncle brought his croquet set with him so we played four games and had a lot of fun.  Lauryn has only been around him once so it took a little time for her to warm up but once she did, he walked around outside with her and pushed her on the swings.  It was a really nice day

Sunday ~ We took Lauryn to the fair downtown.  We all had such a good time!  Lauryn rode all of the kiddie rides, some by herself and some with Mama or Dada, and she really seemed to enjoy them!  We played a few games and won a few stuffed animals for her and she won herself a pink, blow up dolphin.  We came back so Lauryn could get a nap and then we headed over to my brother’s for dinner, a bonfire and fireworks.  Belding always has fireworks for Labor Day and they were great as always   Lauryn didn’t much like them.  She kept saying, “All done, all done!” when they started and then she snuggled me the rest of the time.  We were all tired when we got home and didn’t stay awake too long!

Monday ~ We were supposed to go to the parade this morning but I woke up with a nasty headache so I ended up laying back down after Lloyd got up and then it was cold and rainy so we decided to skip it.  We ended up having a very lazy day and it was wonderful.

Is there a very popular form of entertainment most other people enjoy that does not amuse you?  Most sports.  I am not a fan of football or basketball but I do enjoy a little baseball.

What is the worst beauty or health product or regime you have ever tried?  Putting egg whites on my face.  A friend and I tried it because we heard it cleans your pores and makes your skin smoother.  It was so gross putting that slimy stuff on and then waiting for it to dry.  It didn’t make a bit of difference!

So people like me will think of naughty things when asked this questions
3. In one word (OK, you can go three to four MAX) , what do most people describe you as? Nice, sweet, funny.

4. Choice (stupid but a choice…): Loss of vision, ability to speak or hearing – which do you choose? (you have to choose one….) It’s like a law. But we can’t make you. I’d go with loss of hearing.  I love looking at my beautiful daughter but some days, like when she’s shrieking at the top of her lungs for fun, I could definitely go without hearing her

5. Do you like lemons? Do you use them to clean with or just as a food source? Or are you saving them up for 2012?  I use them with food and then I squeeze any juice left into my drains to make them smell better.

6. When you are feeling icky with that sickness feeling, what is your first choice for feel-better medicine? NyQuil!

7. You are starving. You have not had anything to eat for days. In front of you is poison ivy, a live hissing cockroach, and a rotten stinky piece of some sort of mystery meat to eat. Which would you pick and why?  Unfortunately, I’d probably starve to death because I have an incredibly weak stomach and would not be able to choose any of these.

8. Who was the last person you bought a present for? What was it? Will you buy Berleen one?  I bought something for my niece, who hasn’t arrived yet and I don’t want to share what it is in case my sister in law reads this.  If Berleen is expecting, I would gladly buy her one too!

9. Name 3 things you want your kids to learn before they grow up. (If you don’t have kids, feel free to explain to the other players why you chose the “no kids“ choice. Yea. I know. (Those who have children will NEVER get it. And no, don‘t explain it…)  1.  To always be polite and kind to others.  2.  That you don’t need a man to be happy or to do things for you.  3.  That you may have  to take care of me someday so be careful what you do now or I can make it hell on you when I’m old and gray!

10. What was your favorite toy as a child? What happened to it?  A stuffed bear.  I still have it in my sweetheart chest.

11. If you could paint your house ANY color you wanted and your friends, family & neighbors would love the color from the moment they saw it, what would it be?  I really love the color of the house across the street so I will go with that and say a really light, creamy yellow.

12. If the Pillsbury Dough Boy got into a fight with Mrs. Butterworth who would win? And would anybody get hurt? And do we seem desperate even asking?   No contest!  Mrs. Butterworth would totally kick the Dough Boy’s butt.  I mean come on, he’s a dough boy!

The Majorly Personal Meme, Part Two

Welcome back to Sunday Stealing. Sunday Stealing originated on WTIT: The Blog authored by Bud Weiser. Here we will steal all types of memes from every corner of the blogosphere. Our promise to you is that we will work hard to find the most interesting and intelligent memes. You may have heard of the expression, “honor amongst thieves”. Today we ripped this meme off a blog that is written by a group of high school students. The blog is called Eternal Fireworks. The writers are: Michael, Kynan, Alex, Kenny, Chris, Leo, Shelley, Athy, Bam, Tina, and Bnita. There is no statement as to where it came from. But, it was probably stolen there as well. 21. If you were to live your life without your best friend, what would change?  A lot of things.  I don’t even know where to begin!

22. Tell us about a era of your life that you really miss.  Mostly I miss being a carefree kid!

23. Have you ever been betrayed by someone that came as a complete surprise? Without revealing the person, if yes, tell us about it. Maybe.

24. Do you ever think that is a good idea to hide your feelings?  Yes.

25. Tell us about your favorite year when you were a student.  I really like my junior year.  I had the best teachers and the best classmates.  It was more of a family atmosphere than just school.

25. When was the last time you were in a very good mood? What caused it?  I was in a good mood this morning because I woke up feeling better than I did yesterday.

26. Have you ever had a romantic relationship with a sibling of a good friend?  No.

27. Tell us about the last thing that you did that you truly regret.  I try not to dwell on past mistakes.  They’re done and over with and not moving on only makes life harder!

28. When did you laughed today?  I laughed quite a few times today.  At the reunion I laughed at Lauryn because she was taking ice out of a cooler and putting it on people’s knees.

29. Do you trust easily?  Sometimes.

30. What do you care about that you wish more people would?  Manners.

31. Is it easier for you to go without food or go without sleep?  Without food.

32. What non-alcohol beverage do you enjoy drinking the most?  Coffee or sun tea.

34. Does talking about sex with anyone but your lover make you uncomfortable? Not at all.

35. Do you tend to believe members of the opposite sex mostly behave the same way?  I used to but when I first met my hubby, that all changed.

37. Would you ever consider being a vegetarian?  I’ve thought about it.  Then I think about lasagna, spaghetti and meatballs, a really good steak and the idea goes right out the window.

40. Last week, we had a few players criticize our victim’s questions. Which is fine to do and we value your opinion. Would you ever consider writing questions for Bud and me to post on a Sunday Stealing?  I would but I’m honestly not that creative when it comes to questions so it wouldn’t be that fun.

I’ve been using these Disposable Wiping Cloths around the house lately and have found a few creative uses for them.  The video below is my take on one of those cheesy infomercials.  As you can see, I was obviously not put on this earth to be a t.v. star

1.  Take a long trip. Somewhere like Italy or England.

2.  Go on Branson vacations.

3.  Sing in front of thousands of people…why not, if I’m going to die anyway

4.  Write a book.  Something that people would actually enjoy reading!

5.  Sail around the world.

6.  Throw a huge party and invite family and friends…anyone who’s ever meant something to me.  Then make sure I spent some time with each of them to make sure they knew how much they are loved and how special they are!

Today my Aunt Dereka is coming for a visit.  I love seeing her and I’m pretty sure Lauryn has been wanting to see her too because she’s been running around saying, “Der-KA, Der-Ka!!!”  She even colored a picture for her last night

Lloyd took Cloz’r to the vet this morning for her shots and a check-up.  I’m waiting for them to get back so I can hear how it went.  I’m hoping every thing looks good and that she’s as healthy as we think she is!  This is the first time at a new vet’s office so I’m hoping everything goes well.

Saturday 9: Little Miss Can’t Be Wrong

1. Who was the last person you dealt with that felt that they could never be wrong?  A family member, who I won’t be mentioning by name

2. Tell us about one person who is the most like you.  I guess I could say my daughter.  Although as much as she is like me, she’s also her own little person too!

3. What is something you really want right now?  Christian Louboutin shoes!!!

4. What are you doing this weekend?  Today my aunt is coming over for a visit and tomorrow we have a reunion for my husbands family.

5. Are you in a good mood? If yes, Why?  Yes.  I have a million reasons to be.  A wonderful husband and a very happy marriage and a beautiful, happy, healthy daughter being the two most important of those reasons

6. Do you have an ex that you are pretty sure thinks about you a lot?  I don’t know and I don’t care.

7. What’s one thing you wish you could do but can’t? Be an artist.  I’m crafty but I’m not at all artsy

8. What’s one trait you hate in a person?  I hate people who are judgmental.

9. What’s one thing you like to do alone?  SING!  Whether it’s in my kitchen, doing up the dishes or in my car, when I am alone, I am a freaking ROCK STAR!!! 

I recently received some coveralls and tonight, Lloyd and I put them to good use   They really do come in handy for a lot of things!  We just tried them in a few different ways but I could see me using them for all kinds of reasons.  Last night, I gave Cloz’r a bath and thought I should have been wearing Protective Apparel for that!  When that dog gets wet and shakes, it’s water and hair everywhere!  Or, when Lauryn was younger and trying new foods, I probably could have saved a few outfits if I’d been wearing it when she decided she didn’t like something and it went flying
